How to Style Women's Tunic Tops for Leggings

Women's Tunic Tops for Leggings

Tunics and long tops have been very popular fashion trends in the last year and in recent months. This hot trend is still going strong, and the tunic will continue to be a must-have this spring and summer.

We believe versatility and comfort are the two factors that make tunic tops so popular with women. However, I occasionally meet quite a few women who seem a bit confused about this style of top. First of all, they are unsure what to pair the tunic with.

That's why I decided to share some ideas on how to wear your tunic top and look stylish at the same time!

1. Leggings

The first thing that seems to go well with any tunic or longline top is leggings. These days, you can find a wide variety of women's tunic tops for leggings, in a multitude of colors as well as prints. So you probably won't have any trouble finding a pair of leggings that match your tunic. I recommend buying a pair or two of basic leggings that can be paired with a variety of tunics and can be used for both casual and more elegant or party occasions.

2. Jeggings

Jeggings are similar in style to leggings, so will look great paired with a longline top. Of course, jeggings however are made of denim fabric or at least made of faux denim fabric to give them a skinny jean effect. Like black leggings, dark colored jeggings can easily be paired with tunic tops in many colors and styles.

3. Crops Leggings or Jeans

If you have a casual-style tunics, especially a short-sleeved tunic perfect for summer, you might consider stocking up on a pair of cropped leggings or jeans. These will both look great with your tunic top and will help you easily create a fun and fresh summer look with ease.

4. Opaque Tights

Another great item that you might not immediately think of when putting on a tunic top is tights. Of course, I prefer opaque tights. When wearing a tunic with tights, make sure the top is long enough and reaches just above the knees so that it is always properly covered, eg. Even when sitting down. Tights come in many colors and textures, so finding a pair that matches your tunic should be pretty easy.

5. Regular Jeans

You can wear a longline top with regular jeans, though I prefer (and highly recommend) to wear a tunic top with tight-soled like suggested above. If you have skinny jeans, even better!

So you have it! Five key items to match with the tunic top. Of course, adorn your outfit appropriately according to the occasion. Depending on where you go, we recommend everything from flats to wedges to heels. Experiment with accessories too! I like to wear a chunky long necklace to add texture and color to my tunic top.
